DRAFT FOR COUNSEL REVIEW - not legal advice.

This policy explains what personal data this website (the "Site") handles. The Site is a personal portfolio operated by Aravinda G, Bengaluru, India.

1. Summary

The Site does not ask you to create an account, does not contain forms, does not set cookies of its own, does not use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and does not use browser storage. We do not collect personal data from your visit beyond what the hosting provider processes to deliver and secure the page (see section 3).

2. Data we collect

Website visitorsNo personal data is collected by the Site itself.
People who email usThe contents of your email and your email address, used only to reply to you.
Links to other sitesWhen you follow an external link (for example LinkedIn), that site's own privacy policy applies.

3. Hosting and technical data

The Site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver and secure the Site, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, the page requested, time of request and browser type. Request logging is enabled for this Site, so these details may be recorded for security and troubleshooting. The hosting provider may also set a technical cookie for security (for example a bot-management cookie). Cloudflare processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy.

4. Fonts and third-party requests

Fonts are served from this Site. Your browser does not contact Google or any other font or script provider when you view the Site.

5. Why and on what basis

We use email correspondence to respond to you (on the basis of your request and our legitimate interest in replying). Technical request data is processed for the security and availability of the Site.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising. We share data only with the hosting provider described above and where the law requires it.

7. Retention

Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to respond and for no longer than 90 days after the conversation ends, unless the law requires longer. Hosting logs are kept under the hosting provider's retention settings.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to processing, by emailing aravigan.work@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may also raise a grievance with us using the same address and, where applicable, with the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 years of age.

10. Security and breaches

The Site is served over HTTPS. If a personal-data breach affecting data we hold occurs, we will notify affected people and the authorities as required by law, including CERT-In within 6 hours of becoming aware of a reportable incident and the Data Protection Board of India as applicable.
